Let's talk product

We are glad to introduce you ZOW-E, our first Polytech Orleans's sumo robot designed for international competition. This product is made by our GPSE (Physics and Embedded Systems) team in collaboration with our ICM (Innovation and Material Design) department. Our robot is thought to beat his opponents using his fast and powerful abilities.

Group Work

ZOW-E team is a group of 6 students in the engineering school of Polytech Orléans from the specialty GPSE and ICM.

Autonomous

ZOW-E is a completely autonomous robot, environment responsive and adaptive. He avoids obstacles and analyses his surroundings.

Sumo

ZOW-E is a sumo robot thought and designed to beat his opponents during sumo combat. His speed and strength allows him to surpass the other robots.

Winter Challenge 2018

ZOW-E and his team will participate at the 14th edition of the annual international competition bringing the world to Sao Paulo, Brazil, for a big robot competition.

Let's talk about us

Charles FRUCTUOSO

IT ENGINEER

A group becomes a team when each member is sure enough of himself and his contribution to praise the skill of the others. My job was to build a strong and fast Arduino code including all our components to challenge the STM32 team and look for the most adapted board.

Valentin DUBOIS-PIVOT

PROJECT LEADER

Teamwork is so important that it is virtually impossible for you to reach the heights of your capabilities that you want without becoming very good at it. Much more than just driving the project; I also spur my team on, galvanize an entire crew to act right and move forward!

Julien BAJON

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team. I oversaw the STM32 department to build a responsive and unbeatable code. I exchange with the Arduino team to gather our knowledge and optimize the code.

Adrien LALIERE

ELECTRONICAL ENGINEER

If you can laugh together, you can work together, silence isn't golden, it's deadly. My job was to create the different electronic boards useful for our project. I also made the cabling and different wiring diagrams.

Yousra ZERDANI

MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Individual performances are not the most important. We win and we lose as a team. I was responsible for the study, the modelling and the building of the robot. I used the indications the GPSE gave me to adapt the shape and body of the robot.

Abdelah EL FAHIM

DEVELOPER ENGINEER

Success belongs to everyone. Teamwork is what merits it. I worked in collaboration with Julien on the STM32 programming board. I created the functions to have a clear and optimized code.
